Here's how to follow Taylor Lautner lead and build strength at frightening speed—without working like a dog.

Taylor Lautner used to be a 5'10", 140-pound, bony teenager, and now he's a rippled fitness animal.

Between the first and second Twilight films, his character grew into a powerful werewolf. Lautner is counting on it: The third movie in the Twilight series is due out in mid-2010. "My character continues to grow," he says, "so I'd like to pack on at least a few more lean pounds."

 

Taylor Lautner said in an interview that he likes to begin his workouts with a light warm up, usually by running on the treadmill. He likes to use a lot of compound and body weight exercises such as push-ups, squats, dips, pull-ups, and lunges.

Based on everything I read, I can guess at what his training routine probably looked like.

Taylor Lautner said :

“I get into the gym every single day, seven days a week, two hours a day, eat as much as I possibly can. I had to basically kill myself [in the gym]".

Taylor lautner reflected this issue in another interview, saying:

“I was in the gym five days a week, two hours a day. At one point, I was going seven days straight. I had put on a lot of weight, and then i started losing it drastically, so I was worried. It turned out I was overworking myself.”

How did Taylor Lautner do this?

 

1. He ate every 2 hours. He ate alot because to add muscle you need a surplus of calories.

2. Between breakfast lunch and dinner he would eat a protein bar or a protein shake.

Breakfast: Egg whites, a few whole eggs, and some oatmeal. With some orange juice.

Lunch: Albacore tuna or chicken with veggies and brown rice. You can replace those with turkey or ground beef.

Dinner: Broiled fish or chicken, brown rice, vegetables, and a salad.
