Shahid Kapoor's journey has been inspirational as he managed to build such an enviable body despite being a vegetarian.

Shahid had to undergo a rigorous training for almost six months to master the build of a street-smart rogue . Shahid trained in Mixed Martial Arts and Park our to attain the required flexibility. He always pays careful attention to his workouts and diet.

The biggest limitation was that Shahid is a vegetarian. His trainer had to customise a diet in such a way that he gets the desired look his trainer said . A lot more focus on the regular dal, subzi, cottage cheese, brown rice, salad and yoghurt was there .

Shahid Kapoor who was shooting in Panchgani had to start his day at 5 in the morning which was followed by an intensive 90-minute workout session and then he would drive to the location which was about 2 hours away from where the crew was put up then finishing the day's shoot Shahid would return to the hotel and head straight to the gym, sweating out till 11 in the night.

 His trainer Abbas Ali divulged the secrets behind Shahid's managment  to keep that hot body of his in shape :

“THE SECRET IS IN COMBINATION TRAINING AS THE MAGIC LIES IN MIXING. WE MIX OUR TRAINING WITH STRENGTH, ENDURANCE, CORE BALANCE, FLEXIBILITY, METABOLIC CONDITIONING .  HE TRAINS FIVE TIMES A WEEK FOR AN HOUR AND THERE ARE THREE STRENGTH TRAINING SESSIONS WHICH ARE FOLLOWED BY TWO DAYS OF FUNCTIONAL OR METABOLIC CONDITIONING.

SHAHID KAPOOR ALSO GOES FOR A 7-10 KMS WALK OR JOG EVERY WEEK.”
