Salman has always been a person who gives his 100% to a movie to get into the shoes of a character as the makers also wanted him to undergo a complete transformation for the movie to justify to the role of wrestler. For this he also had to take Haryanvi lesson to get the accent right and abut 25 tutors were interviewed to make Salman learn haryanvi.
Salman khan workout regime :
Salman said that his workout routine comprises of learning how to grapple, the floor work (important for fighters), how to kick and how to get kicked! He added" It’s not that we cannot do what they (fighters) do, but they have been doing it for so many years, they do it with ease. I need to get that ease, the flexibility, power and quickness in me. I do about three-four kicks every day, but have to increase it to 150-200 kicks.”
Salman devotes four hours daily to this workout routine to get the wrestling style for the role and then get back to his weight training session he regularly does and follows it up with weight training which includes:
- Salman does around 2,000 sit-ups a day and 1000 push-ups
- Salman then works out one hour of cardio vascular exercises , rest of the time work on two body parts at a time. Either back or chest , triceps, biceps, legs.
- Along with Pull-ups and chin-ups, Salman also do around 500 ab crunches.
