Before been an actor Arjun Kapoor has worked as a assistant director and assistant producer for a few films as being to son of Mr Boney Kapoor who is a well known director of bollywood he had some filmy connection although but had never though of being a main lead actor because he was a very fat guy weighing 140kg's and before his debut he has to loose around 50kg's to fit in the role of Ishaqzaade . He is 6ft 1inch and now weighs around 85kg's .
Now Arjun Kapoor is fit and healthy and has a fabulous body for which he works out really hard and maintain a healthy diet plan to fit in the role in his movies . Arjun Kapoor lost for about 65kg's to form the physique he is in now which is not a joke but he did so with his dedication and perseverance to attain his goal which was merely impossible for anybody as it took around 2 years for him to do so and he got rewarded with an amazing body.

His biggest inspiration and mentor who made him get into the required shape to achieve the body he has always thought of in Salman Khan who has trained him and advised him to shed weight for his debut movie and try his luck in the Bollywood .


One has to stabilize his core to get the goal he has desired and to workout at that intensity as there is no quick fix for losing weight as one has to very patient to see results . One has to keep in mind to not give as in the you will start to see result which will motivate you to work hard in the end .

Arjun Kapoor got to know this golden principle of training which says that keeping a check on diet or hitting the gym don't work alone , a combination of both has to be maintained to lose weight .  A balance has to maintained between the both as if diet is compromised than workout at gym should be decreased and if overeating is done than doing it hard at gym has to be done .

The secret behind his amazing transformation that made him from fat to fit :

Arjun's trainer made him do strength training , fitness training and interval training which helped him lose fat faster and shred 55kg's of extra weight . For his movie Gunday he further shredded 10kgs and gave time to his workout rather his busy schedule .
In moring when he wake up he starts his day with little cardio exercises and weight training in which he did circuit training , cross fit regime which include high intensity exercises which lasts for about 20 min every day which help to lose excess fat , Arjun kapoor workout routine consists of exercises such as squat , bench press, pull-ups, dead lifts  which are exercises of high intensity .

Arjun lost weight with the help of Physique Elite trainer Kyle Arthur which developed a special programme for Arjun and made him follow that called RAW28 which made him look what he looks today and helped him sculpt his body into the right shape , also Arjun was made to follow HIIT(high interval intensity training) which provides 100% output out of each set with adequate amount of rest periods and helps lose more fat loss as compared to regular cardio which helps to  increase the metabolism rate and increase the testosterone level in the body .

Arjun's workout started with 4 times a week routine with HIIT , cross fit , functional training and RAW28 which helps to increase strength , endurance and does not turn training into a  monotonous  routine .
Also for the Gunday look Arjun had to lose further 10kgs for the shirtless scenes he had to do in the film which took about further 16 weeks to support the look and it took immense patience and dedication for Arjun to do so .

Some tips that Arjun Kapoor gave about workout are "One can lose 10 kilos in a month with rigorous training and workout but you will loose the muscle as well and in a week you will put on weight with little overeating as you cannot relate it as a short term goal as it is a long process.  Arjun Kapoor has to lose for about 50kg's so he could see a long way to go and get his goal ."
